The 3SHRA standard

We measure, we don't guess.

Scent is taste, and taste differs from person to person. But how long a perfume lasts and how far it carries is not an opinion; it can be measured. So we decided to measure it, and publish what we find.

1

We age

Every batch sits its full term before opening, with a live countdown on the site.

We measure

Each batch's longevity and projection, over hours, under the same conditions every time.

We publish

Results show on the perfume's page with their date, and if we don't love a perfume, we don't sell it.

Openness

Why we started measuring

Everyone buying a perfume asks the same two questions: how long will it last on me, and how far will it carry? Those are exactly the two things people argue about most, each with their own opinion.

So we decided to answer with numbers. We looked at ready-made devices and found most of them measure a perfume at a single moment. But longevity isn't a moment; it's what happens to a perfume from the first spray to the last hour.

That's why we ordered a measuring setup from abroad. It isn't one tool but several working together, following a perfume over hours under the same conditions every time.

Not a number at one moment, a curve across the day

What we measure

How long it lasts

The hours a perfume stays noticeable up close.

How far it carries

Until when it still reaches someone standing at arm's length.

How it changes

A full curve from hour 0 to 24, not a single number.

Same conditions every time

So today's batch can be compared with one a year from now, and every result is published with its date.

Results

The device is on its way

Our device is coming from abroad and is expected within a month. The first results will appear here, and every batch after that is measured before it's sold.

Development value

Our perfumes don't stop at the first batch. We try oils from different houses for the same perfume, different alcohols and aging times, and we buy measuring and production tools, originals to learn from, and sometimes send to labs.

Those costs are split over the next bottles, and each cost stops once it's paid back. What's spent on one perfume is carried by that perfume only; what helps every perfume is shared by all. And the value is written next to the price, not hidden inside it.

If you bought from us before we spent on a given development, you don't pay it. You've been with us from the start, and your purchase is what kept us going.

That's why you won't find discounts here. Quite the opposite: the perfume gets better over time. At the same time we balance development cost against growing sales, so the price stays fair and you can try more than one perfume. And to develop for real, we won't flood the range: a small number we keep working on until we reach the best ratios, materials and aging times, by measurement, not opinion.

What we won't claim

  • We won't say "certified" or "lab results". This is measured in our own workshop, with a fixed, written method.
  • These numbers are about longevity and projection only: how long a perfume lasts and how far it carries, not what it smells like.
  • Every perfume shifts a little from skin to skin and with the weather. Our numbers compare perfumes under the same conditions.
